POSITION OBJECTIVE: Manage and oversee all core IT services including maintaining the operational systems, including cloud and hybrid services, and managing the network architecture for AFBF and its affiliates. Lead and mentor the IT operations staff, coordinate the departmental budget, and ensure the reliability, security, and performance of all IT infrastructure. Additionally, manage vendor relationships, improving service delivery, and stay current with technological trends to support the organization's needs effectively.

LOCATION: Washington, DC; eligible to earn telework 2 days/week
SALARY: $140,000 - $180,000 annually
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop strategic goals that align with the organizational and departmental mission and vision to ensure continuous improvement and innovations of IT Operations and technology usage throughout the organization
- Responsible for the day-to-day operations of information systems, including security, networks, telephony, help desk, software and hardware
- Manage and supervise IT Operations staff, fostering a high-performance culture, including accountability and transparency
- Manage and maintain IT operations cloud services including AWS and MS365
- Manage and maintain the organization’s network architecture, including WAN, LAN, and wireless systems
- Manage security and risk mitigation of infrastructure, IT operations cloud services, and systems
- Ensure the reliability, security, and performance of all IT infrastructure, cloud, and hybrid services.
- Develop and monitor departmental budget
- Manage IT Asset management and lifecycle
- Coordinate and manage the acquisition, distribution and configuration of staff technology resources and potential new software applications
- Create, monitor, and report on metrics to monitor IT service delivery
- Manage third-party technology vendors, including managed service providers
- Monitor developments in the technology industry to keep computer technology and telecommunications current and capable of supporting the needs of the organization effectively and efficiently
- Collaborate in designing and implementing Disaster Recovery and Continuity of Operations plans
- Benchmark, analyze, report on, and make recommendations for the improvement of IT systems and infrastructure
- Manage the technology support of meetings and conferences; coordinate with vendors as needed
- Ensure IT processes, procedures and controls are well documented and updated timely
- Ensure staff are well trained on software, systems and functionality to create an efficient and knowledgeable workforce
RELATIONSHIPS:
Work directly with all Technology staff to maintain daily operations. Work with IT Team and end users on special projects. Work with all AFBF staff to understand and ensure their technology needs are met. Coordinate with third party solution providers on external application development, support and integration.
EDUCATION OR TRAINING REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in IT, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience
- Related certifications are encouraged
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
- At least 10 years of experience in the Information Technology field
- At least 5 years of experience in a managerial role
- Strong leadership abilities and in-depth knowledge of technology
- Experience managing Microsoft 365, Azure platforms, AWS, and hybrid cloud solutions
- Experience in project management
- Knowledge and experience with endpoint protection, identity management, and access control protocols
- Experience with IT security frameworks (CIS, NIST) and framework implementation
- Experience supporting hybrid environments
- Excellent management, communication, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
- Experience designing and implementing Disaster Recovery and Continuity of Operations plans
PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/TRAINING/SKILLS:
- Experience with CRM systems
- Certifications such as PMP, CISSP, ITIL or equivalent
